Disney World Vacation Tips
Tips to get the most out of your Disney World family vacation
1. Arrive early. If you are staying at a Disney Resort take advantage of early entry privileges.
2. Don't follow the crowd. Go counter-clockwise once you enter the park. Most people will go to the right.
3. Check the tip board for information on parade routes, character appearances, time and other helpful information on rides.
4. Eat breakfast before you get to the park.
5. Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
6. Mix outdoor rides with indoor rides to allow you to cool off.
7. Agree on a meeting place if you get separated.
8. If you're attending a parade, stake out your place early since they always draw a crowd.
9. Read all ride height and health restrictions and warnings. Measure your child's height before you arrive at the Park so you know which attractions he or she is able to ride.
10. Buy souvenirs last so you don't have to carry them around all day.
11. Take advantage of any special programs such as VIP tours.
12. Take a restroom break whenever you are close to a restroom.
13. Put on sunscreen before you enter the park and don't forget the sunglasses and hats.
14. Eat during the off hours to avoid long lines.
15. Don’t save the water rides for last or you’ll have a soggy ride home.
16. Don't forget the camera and film.
17. Take a poncho in case of an afternoon rain shower. They also come in handy on water rides.
18. Make sure you get your hand stamped when you leave the park if you plan on returning that day. Also you will want to keep your ticket and parking pass since most parking passes are good for the whole day.
19. Customize your itinerary to the ages of your children. Don't try to do too much at once.
20. Take a mid-afternoon break. This will refresh everyone and get them ready for the second half of the day.
